In this issue of Mountain Birds Space Design, we take you inside our Omakase project in Atlanta — a serene space where modern Eastern aesthetics and highend Japanese cuisine converge.

当料理的仪式感碰撞东方美学，一席 Omakase，不止是味蕾盛宴，更是一场沉浸式空间体验。

门头｜古今相融，静候来客

The storefront facade features a deep grey base, complemented by warm wooden lines and linear ambient lighting that create a soft, layered effect. A NeoChinese style lantern at the eaves serves as a visual signature, subtly weaving Eastern ambiance into the modern commercial storefront. An integrated landscape pine — part real, part illusion — is embedded into the wall, evoking a sense of tranquility and refinement even before one steps inside. Expansive glass panels open up the interior to the street, allowing passersby to glimpse the sushi counter and begin anticipating the culinary experience to come.

Lobby | Into the Sanctuary – A Mood Transition
门店外立面以深灰为基底，温润木作线条搭配线性暖光，勾勒柔和层次。

新中式屋檐灯笼作为视觉符号，将东方意境悄然植入现代商铺立面；造景迎客松嵌入墙面，虚实相生，还未踏入店内，松弛雅致的氛围感已然铺展。大面积玻璃窗打通内外视野，食客路过便可窥见吧台格局，勾起对料理的期待。

前厅｜浅入秘境，过渡情绪

Upon entering, the lobby serves as the transitional hub of the space, setting the tone for the entire venue.
Dark artistic wall finishes balance the warmth of natural wood, while the marble reception counter adds a sense of understated elegance. Japanese-style lady paintings, bonsai, and antique palace lanterns punctuate the space — without over-decoration. Wooden grille partitions subtly guide the flow, gently detaching guests from the hustle of the outside world and allowing them to settle in, ready for an exclusive culinary journey.

Core Counter | The Stage Where Culinary Art Unfolds

推门而入，前厅作为空间过渡枢纽，奠定全场调性。

深色艺术涂料墙面中和原木的温润，大理石前台简约大气；日式仕女挂画、盆景、复古宫灯点缀空间，摒弃繁复堆砌。木格栅隔断巧妙划分动线，让访客从喧嚣外界慢慢抽离，沉下心，准备开启一场专属料理之旅。

核心吧台｜料理发生的舞台

The essence of Omakase lies in the intimate interaction between chef and diner — making the counter the very heart of the space. Multiple independent counter sections accommodate various dining scenarios. A layered wood ceiling with seamless warm LED lighting softly illuminates the entire space, while the walls feature a dynamic interplay of materials — threedimensional geometric textures, inkwash stone panels, and carved wooden screens.

Terrazzo flooring grounds the space in a consistent natural tone, complemented by cleanlined wooden dining chairs. Warm, focused spotlights highlight the workstations, drawing the eye to the chef's every move — amplifying the exclusive, ritualistic atmosphere that defines the Omakase experience.

Throughout the space, carved wooden screens, rattanwoven cabinets, and a transparent temperaturecontrolled wine display enrich the vertical plane, balancing aesthetic appeal with practical storage. The interplay of textures and materials, along with the dance of light and shadow, brings a sense of vitality and rhythm to this refined Japanese dining space.

Omakase 的精髓，在于主厨与食客近距离的互动交流，吧台自然成为空间核心。

多个独立吧台分区，适配不同用餐场景。顶面分层木饰面搭配无边暖光灯带，柔和洗亮整个空间；墙面大胆运用立体几何肌理、水墨岩板、镂空木艺屏风等多种材质碰撞。

天然水磨石地面延续全场基调，原木餐椅线条利落克制。暖调点状射灯聚焦操作台，目光自然汇聚于主厨料理全过程，最大化强化 Omakase 专属仪式感。

镂空雕花木屏风、藤编柜体、通透恒温酒柜丰富立面层次，兼顾美学展示与实用收纳。软硬材质交织，光影游走其间，塑造富有呼吸感的高端日料空间。

廊道动线｜移步换景，曲径通幽

The narrow corridor links the various functional zones. Japanese hanging scrolls line the walls, while white pebbles embedded along the floor’s edge evoke a gardenstyle Eastern landscaping approach. Wooden grille screens serve as spatial partitions, offering layered transparency and enclosure — allowing the view to shift with every step. This design gently relieves the sense of confinement often felt in long, narrow passages, inviting guests to discover the space progressively while maintaining an immersive, tranquil atmosphere throughout their journey.

Details | A Unified Aesthetic in Every Corner
 

狭长走廊串联各个功能区域，沿墙布置日式挂画，地面侧边嵌入白色卵石造景，延续庭院式东方造景思路。

木格栅屏风作为空间隔断，虚实遮挡，实现移步换景。弱化狭长通道的压抑感，食客行走其间，逐步探索空间，持续维持沉浸式静谧氛围。

细节｜方寸之间，统一美学

The quality of design lies in the details. The restrooms continue the same material palette found throughout the space — featuring sculpted rawstone framed mirrors, small potted plants, and matching decorative artwork, ensuring a cohesive visual language even in private areas. Even nondining zones are thoughtfully designed to balance ambiance and functionality — creating a seamless, immersive environment that upholds the brand's consistent Eastern elegance, from the entrance to the very last corner.

Design Thinking

Highend Omakase dining is defined by restraint, tranquility, and focus.
This design is rooted in a modern Eastern Zen aesthetic, integrated with the essential qualities of Japanese dining spaces. Moving away from the heavy, ornate elements often associated with traditional Japanese restaurants, we reimagine the space through a refined composition of natural wood, textured wall finishes, stone, and layered lighting.

A lowsaturation, darktoned palette combined with warm illumination creates a serene atmosphere. Layered lighting defines each zone, while wooden grilles, landscape features, and subtle partitions shape a sense of spatial depth and rhythm. Every element is designed to serve the dining experience — allowing guests to immerse themselves in the ingredients and fully appreciate the unique balance of relaxation and ritual that defines Omakase.

设计的质感藏在每一处细节。卫生间延续全屋材质体系，异形原石边框镜面、小型盆栽、同款装饰挂画，风格统一不割裂。

哪怕是非用餐区域，同样兼顾氛围感与实用性，做到空间无死角，完整保留品牌统一的东方雅致调性。

设计思考

高端 Omakase 日料，追求克制、静谧、专注。本次设计以现代东方禅意为内核，融合日式料理空间特质。摒弃传统日料店厚重繁复的和风元素，用原木、艺术涂料、石材、光影进行重组。

低饱和度深色基底 + 暖光营造沉静氛围，层次化灯光划分区域，利用格栅、造景、隔断打造空间进退关系。让空间服务于用餐体验，使食客专注食材本身，感受一席 Omakase 独有的松弛与仪式感。
